CORRIE YEE: THE DISCIPLINE BEHIND THE GLAMOUR
[as originally published on toomuchlovemagazine.com]
From the outside, modeling can look effortless. Perfect lighting, flawless styling, and carefully composed images create a world that feels almost cinematic. But for Corrie Yee, the reality behind those moments is built on discipline.
The Los Angeles–based model and creator has spent years building a career that blends fashion, wellness, and creative expression. With more than two million followers on Instagram and editorial appearances in such publications as Glamour, Maxim, and Playboy, Yee has developed a presence that feels both glamorous and intentional. Yee’s daily life reflects that philosophy. When she’s not on set or traveling for shoots, much of her time revolves around health and movement. “I try to build things that last,” she says. “That mindset changes the way you approach opportunities.”
Yee’s perspective on creativity also comes from an unexpected place: the art studio. Before fully committing to modeling, she studied fine arts at New Mexico State University, focusing on ceramics and painting. That background still shapes the way she approaches photography today.

“There are so many moving parts in creating an image,” she says. “Styling, lighting, the environment, the mood. My art background helps me see how all of those elements come together visually.”
Yee approaches her work with a clear sense of the story being told, whether it’s a photoshoot or digital content. In her view, fashion is a form of visual storytelling.
“It’s a language,” she says. “You can communicate emotion, identity, and personality without saying a word.”
That balance between creativity and discipline has also influenced how Yee chooses collaborations. As such, she’s becoming increasingly selective about the brands she works with… READ MORE
